  1. Chasing You

"Chasing You" is about a woman caught up in the relationship drama of a love triangle. She’s not over her Ex, but he’s moved on to somebody new. It’s a straight-ahead rocker because she’s facing the truth about her love life careening out of control.

I’m excited to show another side of my music. “Chasing You” probably best fits into the Garage Rock genre. Early reviewers have compared it to the music of The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, The New York Dolls, Weezer, and The Strokes. A far cry from the Jangle Pop of my first single “All and Everything.”

“Chasing You” also marks a big step forward for my music production. Tyler at Red Dot Recording did the mastering and provided all kinds of great advice while I was balancing and mixing the song. The production really help the drumming performance of Kristers Hartmanis shine through.

lyrics
Another Saturday night and, you’re still all alone
Spent the whole damn evening, swiping left on your phone
Wait for him to call you, out of the blue
For another drunken, midnight rendezvous

While you’ve been dreaming
He’s been scheming
Chasing down somebody new

Your chasing after him
But what’s the use?
He’s chasing after her
Don’t be so obtuse
It’s not a love triangle
Nobody’s chasing you
It’s not a love triangle
When nobody’s chasing you

You’ve made your mind up, time to make your move
Touch up your makeup, blushing in hot pursuit
He’s leaning into her got something to prove
Try and catch his attention, but he doesn’t notice you

While you’ve been dreaming
He’s been scheming
Chasing down somebody new

Your chasing after him
But what’s the use?
He’s chasing after her
Don’t be so obtuse
It’s not a love triangle
Nobody’s chasing you
It’s not a love triangle
When nobody’s chasing you

Forget about him
He’s just leading you on
Forget about him
He’s already gone

Your chasing after him
But what’s the use?
He’s chasing after her
Don’t be so obtuse
It’s not a love triangle
Nobody’s chasing you
It’s not a love triangle
When nobody’s chasing you
